# Setup in SAP

## Setup in SAP
The setup is done by your SAP Basis team.
1. **Activate the OData services** in transaction `/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE`, only
those of the data flows you use: `API_SALES_ORDER_SRV`,
`API_SALES_QUOTATION_SRV`, `API_BUSINESS_PARTNER` and `API_PRODUCT_SRV`.
Mercura shows on its settings page which of them it finds in your system.
2. **Create a technical user** for Mercura (user type *System*), e.g.
"MERCURA", in the client Mercura should work with. A system user cannot
log on in the SAP GUI and its password does not expire.
3. **Give the user a role** with the authorisations from the table below.
4. **Add your own fields where wanted.** If documents should carry values of
your own fields, add the fields to the sales order or sales quotation API,
e.g. in the Fiori app *Custom Fields*. The same applies to fields of
business partners and products that Mercura should read.
5. **Make SAP Gateway reachable** for Mercura over HTTPS and note its host and
port, e.g. `https://s4.example.com:44300`.

Version: 1.79.2
